Brass Empire: 2nd Edition

The card quality in this edition feels noticeably thicker than the first printing, which makes shuffling much easier. The steampunk theme is well-integrated into the gameplay mechanics, especially how coal and iron resources interact with the deckbuilding.

Didn't expect a deckbuilder to have this much player interaction — the faction abilities kept everyone at the table scheming until the last round. Turns move fast once you know your deck, and the 2nd edition cards feel sturdier than most games in my shelf.

The steampunk deckbuilding combo here is way tighter than I expected, and chaining faction cards into a big turn feels great. Took one playthrough to click, but now my group keeps requesting it over our usual stuff.
