Compare the Deluxe and standard editions of Disco Heist Laundry. See what upgraded components and the Glitter Gulch expansion add, and decide which version fits your game night.
Quick Answer
The Deluxe edition upgrades components and includes the Glitter Gulch expansion pack with new locations, crew members, and criminal schemes. If you value enhanced tactile quality and replayability, the Deluxe is a strong choice. If you're budget-conscious or prefer to add content gradually, the standard edition plus the Anarchy pack offers a solid starting point.
What the Deluxe Edition Adds
The Disco Heist Laundry Deluxe edition upgrades the base game with enhanced components and includes the Glitter Gulch expansion pack. That expansion brings new locations, crew members, and criminal schemes that keep each playthrough fresh. The art by Denis Medri is present in both editions, but the Deluxe uses higher-quality materials for the cards, tokens, and board, which can make repeated handling more satisfying.
If you play frequently or host game nights where component feel matters, the Deluxe edition's upgrades reduce wear and improve the tactile experience. The Glitter Gulch expansion also adds enough variety that you won't feel the need to buy additional content right away.
The Standard Edition and the Anarchy Pack
The standard edition of Disco Heist Laundry gives you the full base game: you assemble a crew of criminals in 1980s settings, play crew members to your tableau, and move around the city to pull off heists. It's a complete experience on its own.
For players who want extra variety without jumping to the Deluxe, the Anarchy pack adds two new Kingpins, 10 Kingpin cards, and 4 Crew cards featuring a Boxer, Loan Shark, Coder, and Street Racer. One Kingpin is a Motorcycle Club leader, the other a punk rocker—both bring fresh strategies. At $3.95, it's a low-cost way to expand the standard game without the Deluxe's price jump.
Tradeoffs at a Glance
- Component Quality: Deluxe uses enhanced materials for cards, tokens, and board. Standard uses standard components. If component feel matters to you, the Deluxe is worth the extra cost.
- Included Content: Deluxe includes the Glitter Gulch expansion. Standard includes only the base game. The Deluxe gives you more variety out of the box; the standard requires add-ons for similar depth.
- Cost vs. Expandability: Deluxe is $46.49 (compared to $74.99). Standard is not listed separately, but the Anarchy pack is $3.95. The standard plus Anarchy pack is a budget-friendly path; the Deluxe is a one-and-done premium option.
