Brass Empire (1st Edition)

The player count flexibility is a huge win for me — it plays just as well solo as it does with a full group of five, which is rare. I’ve already run three sessions and the sabotage cards keep every round unpredictable without feeling chaotic.

The sabotage mechanics add so much tension when you’re targeting a rival’s company—my group’s last match came down to a brutal final round. Even at four players, the 1-5 scaling held up without dragging.

Wasn't sure a steampunk deckbuilder would click for our group, but the sabotage mechanic had us laughing all night. Games run about an hour with three players, which is perfect for a weeknight. The art on the company cards is gorgeous too.
