The tile-matching mechanic really shines once you get a few rounds in, and recruiting animal minions feels genuinely satisfying. I love how quickly the game ramps up as factions start competing for the sacred gift.

AlderQuest

It's a decent roll-and-write if you already enjoy the Set a Watch world, and the shop-owning theme gives the dice choices a bit more purpose than your average sheet. That said, the crunchiness can feel a little heavy for what is ultimately a solo dice game, and I found myself wishing the spell research was a bit more interactive. Fine for a few plays, but not something I reach for often.

Merchants of Magick: A Set a Watch Tale

Finally getting to play through all three campaigns in one box is a huge time-saver, and the amount of unique monster and event cards packed in here makes each session feel completely different. I’ve already lost a few evenings to the cooperative survival gameplay, and the rulebook’s clear explanations got us started in under 15 minutes.

Sophia ★★★★★

Maximum Apocalypse Trilogy

The trial packs a lot of historical context into the case files, and the pacing really picks up once you start interviewing the accused. Only wish the witness list was a bit longer, since the ending felt a little abrupt for the price.

Lawyer Up: Witch Trial

The player count flexibility is a huge win for me — it plays just as well solo as it does with a full group of five, which is rare. I’ve already run three sessions and the sabotage cards keep every round unpredictable without feeling chaotic.
