Lawyer Up: Season 1 includes all of the content from the first season of Lawyer Up including the Murder, Godfather, Witch Trial and Art Forgery cases.

Lawyer Up is an asymmetrical two-player courtroom drama card game where one player is the noble prosecution and the other the steadfast defense. Each game begins with Discovery, where players draft vital evidence to support their case and bury evidence that might help their opponent. Next comes the Trial, where players call witnesses and play powerful arguments along with the evidence they drafted into their examinations. To form a coherent line of questioning, players will need to chain together their cards by matching bias symbols. The player who can best examine the Witness will spend Influence to sway the Jury to their side. Every game is different, but the lawyer with the best case and most convincing arguments will be sure to get the verdict they are after!

The asymmetry in the Murder case really shines—I love how each side has completely different win conditions. Setup took about 10 minutes, and the rules were clear enough for my friend and I to jump right into the courtroom arguments.

My wife and I played the Witch Trial case first, and the asymmetric roles are what sold us — one of you prosecutes, the other defends, so it never feels like you're playing the same game. Four cases in the box for the price is a lot of replay. We've already scheduled a rematch for the Murder case th

My wife and I have played the Murder case four times now and it stays tense right to the verdict. The asymmetrical setup means one of you builds the case while the other pokes holes in it, so it never feels like you're just playing solitaire next to each other. The Godfather case is next on our list
